Impact on DFW

Taiwan-based Delta Electronics Inc., a global leader in smart, energy-saving technologies, is expanding its presence in Plano, Texas, with a major manufacturing project expected to employ over 1,500 people by 2031. Delta currently operates a 435,000-square-foot R&D and manufacturing facility in Plano, specializing in solutions for AI, cloud data centers, telecom, and electric vehicle charging.

This expansion will include the following:

    • Phase 2: A 477,000-square-foot manufacturing facility and a 90,000-square-foot office building, to be completed by 2028.

    • Phase 3: Another 477,000-square-foot manufacturing facility, to be completed by 2031.

    • Total Expansion Size: Once complete, Delta’s Plano campus will span nearly 1.5 million square feet.

Delta Electronics considered multiple states before selecting Plano. Mayor John Muns emphasized that Plano offers the resources and partnerships essential for a long-term relationship, making it an ideal location for this high-impact investment.

State representative, Adriana Cruz, gave us her take on the benefit of the Delta expansion in Plano: “As the most popular location in the U.S. for foreign direct investment over the last two decades and a national leader in advanced manufacturing, we know that Delta Electronics’ expanding facility will continue to thrive here in the Lone Star State.”

Our Take

Delta Electronics’ significant expansion in Plano represents a milestone for the city and Texas. As a result of this expansion, DFW will experience job creation, indirect job creation, high-demand industry growth, local economy boost, and will allow for a greater capacity of skills development and workforce training.

This growth in the DFW economy demands growth in the real estate industry! Invest now before the opportunity passes you by!
